TFEIP meeting in Ghent

Aether staff recently returned from the 2014 UN/ECE Task Force Meeting on Emission Inventories and Projections (TFEIP) in Ghent in Belgium. The meeting was attended by more than 150 emission inventory experts from Europe, Canada and the EECCA countries.

Chris chaired the meeting and Melanie chaired the Projections Expert Panel meeting. Katie gave a presentation on estimating NOx emissions from small boilers in London following a project undertaken for the GLA and Richard gave a presentation on understanding emission inventories through data visualisation.

The main objectives of the meeting were to:

– Provide a forum for discussion
– To collate information on new and improved methods for estimating air quality pollutant emissions
– Agree ways in which communication within the air pollutant emission inventory community could be improved
