The UK Government’s draft Clean Air Strategy identified wood burning from domestic stoves as one of the key sources of particulate matter in urban areas in the UK. This marks a return to one of the air pollution sources which, it was assumed had been “solved” in the 1950s and 60s in mainland UK.
